La Lune natural honing stones?

I'm considering buying a La Lune French honing stone to use a finisher for my Thiers-Issard razors, but I already have a Les Latneueses hybrid coticule that produces very fine and keen coticule edges. Would a La Lune edge be an improvement or would it be redundant (like bringing bags of sand to the ocean beach, lol)? Curiosity is getting the better of me in pursuit of the perfect shaving edge.
